The Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, has issued an advertisement for the Joint Competitive Examination 2025 for direct recruitment to the vacant posts of Chauffeur in the Rajasthan High Court and Driver in the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, District Courts, and District Legal Services Authorities (including Taluka Legal Services Committees and Permanent Lok Adalats).
Selected candidates will serve as Probationer Trainees for two years with a fixed remuneration of ₹14,600/- per month. After successful completion of the probation period, the pay scale will be as per Pay Matrix Level L-05, ranging from ₹20,800/- to ₹65,900/-.

Eligibility Criteria (as on January 01, 2026)
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 40 years as of January 01, 2026.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Male candidates: 5 years
- General/EWS Female candidates: 5 years
- SC/ST/OBC/MBC Female candidates: 10 years
- Widows and Divorced Women: No upper age limit
- Reservists (Defense Service Personnel): Up to 50 years
- Ex-Prisoners: Age relaxed by period of imprisonment, if eligible before conviction.
- Cadet Instructors: Age relaxed by period of service in NCC.
- Released Emergency Commissioned Officers and Short Service Commissioned Officers: Considered within age limit if eligible at the time of commissioning.
- Ex-Servicemen: 15 years (maximum 50 years)
- Maximum 3 years relaxation for candidates who were otherwise eligible in a year when no recruitment was made.
- Only one category of age relaxation is permissible.

- Nationality: Citizen of India, Nepal, or Bhutan.
- Educational Qualification:
- For Rajasthan High Court & Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority Posts (Chauffeur/Driver):
- Senior Secondary (12th Pass) from Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other recognized Board.
- Valid Driving License for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV).
- 3 years of experience in driving vehicles with automatic, power steering, and power brakes after obtaining a valid LMV license (as on July 07, 2025).
- Eyesight 6/6 with or without spectacles.
- Knowledge of roadside vehicle repair and driving proficiency.
- For District Courts & District Legal Services Authorities Posts (Driver):
- Senior Secondary (12th Pass) from Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other recognized Board.
- Valid Driving License for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and Transport Vehicle (TV).
- 3 years of experience in driving LMV and TV after obtaining a valid driving license (as on July 07, 2025).
- Eyesight 6/6 with or without spectacles.
- Knowledge of roadside vehicle repair and driving proficiency.
- Note: Applicants appearing in Senior Secondary (12th) examination are eligible to apply, but must possess the required educational qualification before the written examination and submit proof within 7 days of the exam to the Registrar (Examination), Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur.
- For Rajasthan High Court & Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority Posts (Chauffeur/Driver):
- Physical Fitness: Candidate must be mentally and physically fit.
- Character: Must submit one good character certificate from the head of the last attended educational institution and two character certificates from responsible persons (non-relatives, not from educational institutions) issued within 6 months of application date.
Selection Process The examination will be conducted in the following stages:
- Written Examination (Screening Test):
- If applications received are more than 10 times the total vacancies, a screening test (objective type) will be conducted.
- This test is for shortlisting only, and its marks will not be included in the final merit list.
- Total 100 marks, 2 hours duration.
- Subjects:
- Knowledge of reading and understanding traffic instructions, traffic signs, road directions in Hindi and English.
- Technical knowledge of vehicle and roadside repair.
- Knowledge of traffic rules.
- Knowledge of traffic signs.
- Marking Scheme: 20 marks for subject 1, 20 marks for subject 2, 30 marks for subject 3, and 30 marks for subject 4.
- Total 100 questions (1 mark each).
- No negative marking for wrong answers.
- OMR answer sheet will be used.
- Candidates up to 10 times the total vacancies (category-wise) will be declared eligible for Job Test and Personal Interview based on written exam marks.
- Job Test & Personal Interview: Final selection will be based on the total aggregate marks obtained in the Job Test and Personal Interview.
