NTA NTET 2024 – Apply Online for National Teacher Entrance Test
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the National Teacher Entrance Test (NTET) 2024, inviting applications from aspiring teachers across India. This national-level entrance exam is designed to assess candidates’ eligibility for teaching positions in government schools from Classes I to VIII.
Important Dates:
- Start Date to Apply Online: 24th September 2024
- Last Date to Apply Online: 14th October 2024 (up to 11:50 PM)

Eligibility Criteria:
- For Classes I-V (Primary Level): Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- For Classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level): Candidates should have a Graduation degree with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree or passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Age Limit:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: As per government norms (usually no upper limit for teachers, but varies by state).
Application Fee:
- For General/OBC: ₹4000
- For SC/ST/PwD: ₹3000

- Register by providing basic details such as name, email ID, and phone number.
- Log in with the credentials and fill out the application form.
- Upload the necessary documents (photograph, signature, and educational certificates).

- Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Selection Process:
The selection will be based on a written examination comprising two papers:
- Paper I: For candidates who intend to teach Classes I-V.
- Paper II: For candidates aiming to teach Classes VI-VIII.
Candidates who clear both papers can be eligible to teach all classes from I to VIII.
Exam Pattern:
- Paper I (for Classes I-V): 150 questions for 150 marks (Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes)
- Paper II (for Classes VI-VIII): 150 questions for 150 marks (Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes)
Both papers will include sections on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
Admit Card:
Candidates can download the admit card from the official website after the application process closes. The admit card will include the exam date, time, and venue details.
