Fellowship Tenure and Benefits
- JRF Tenure:
- Initial period: 2 years as JRF.
- On satisfactory performance, candidates will be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the remaining 3 years.
- RA Tenure:
- Maximum of 2 years.
- Monthly Stipend:
- JRF: ₹37,000 + HRA as per DRDO norms.
- RA: ₹67,000 + HRA as per DRDO norms.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications:
- For JRF: M.Sc. in relevant disciplines with NET qualification.
- For RA: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant research experience.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Other categories: As per DRDO policies.
- Cut-off Date:
- Age and qualification will be considered as of the interview date.
Selection Process
- Walk-In Interview: Candidates must report at 0930 hours on the respective interview dates at DRDE, Jhansi Road, Gwalior – 474002.
- Document Verification: Candidates must produce original certificates along with self-attested copies at the time of the interview.

- Selection does not confer any right for absorption into DRDO.
- Selected candidates may be allowed to register for a Ph.D. during their fellowship tenure.
