Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications:
- Passed Higher Secondary Examination (12th standard) from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent.
- Knowledge of the vernacular language of the State (Bengali).
- Age Limit (as of 10/01/2025):
- Minimum: 18 years.
- Maximum: 40 years.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates of West Bengal.

- Fee Payment:
- SC/ST (West Bengal): ₹400/-
- Other Categories: ₹800/-
- Payment through bank challan at Punjab National Bank (Account No. 0091010372343) in favor of Registrar, Original Side, High Court, Calcutta.
- Submission Mode:
- Applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the category and post applied for clearly mentioned on the top left corner.

- Required Documents:
- Filled application form in prescribed format.
- Bank challan receipt.
- Self-attested copies of:
- Date of birth proof.
- Educational certificates (Class 10th & 12th).
- Caste/Exempted category certificates (if applicable).
- Two self-addressed envelopes (25 cm x 11 cm) with ₹45 postal stamps.
- Three identical passport-sized photographs signed by the candidate.

Selection Process
- Written Test:
- Translation from Bengali, Hindi, and Nepali to English (10 marks each).
- Translation from English to Bengali and Hindi (10 marks each).
- Total: 50 marks (Qualifying marks: 60%).
- Viva-Voce/Interview:
- Total: 10 marks (Qualifying marks: 40%).
