The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) invites applications from female candidates who have qualified NEET (UG) 2025 for admission to the four-year BSc (Nursing) Course commencing in 2025 at prestigious Colleges of Nursing under AFMS. 2. Eligibility Criteria

(a) Gender and Marital Status

  • Female candidates who are unmarried, divorced, legally separated, or widows without encumbrances.

(b) Nationality

  • Citizen of India.

(c) Date of Birth

  • Born between October 1, 2000, and September 30, 2008 (both dates inclusive).

(d) Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 years of schooling) in the first attempt as a regular student.
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology), and English.
  • Minimum aggregate: 50% marks from a Statutory/Recognized Board/University/Examining Body.

(e) Physical Standards

  • Medical Fitness: Determined by a Special Medical Board (SMB) as per AFMS standards, subject to amendments.
  • Minimum Height:
    • 152 cm for general candidates.
    • 147 cm for candidates from Hill and North Eastern States.
    • Growth allowance of 2 cm for candidates below 18 years at the time of examination.

  • Mandatory to qualify NEET (UG) 2025 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

(g) Additional Requirements

  • SC/ST Candidates: Must possess an SC/ST certificate issued by a competent authority (not below 1st Class Magistrate/Tehsildar/Sub Divisional Officer) from the candidate’s or family’s residential area.
  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders: Must upload the NCC ‘C’ certificate during application.

3. Screening Process

The selection process is rigorous, ensuring only the best candidates are selected:

(a) Shortlisting

  • Based on NEET (UG) 2025 scores.
  • Shortlisted candidates’ reference numbers are published on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  • Shortlisted candidates must appear for screening at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt (BHDC), including ToGIGE, Psychological Assessment, Interview, and Medical Examination.
  • Admit Card: Downloadable from www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Requests to change the screening date are not entertained except under extreme circumstances.

(b) Document Verification

  • Required Documents (originals, as listed in the admit card):
    • NEET (UG) 2025 scorecard.
    • 10+2 mark sheet and certificate.
    • SC/ST certificate (if applicable).
    • NCC ‘C’ certificate (if applicable).
    • Photo ID and other documents specified in the admit card.
  • If originals are unavailable, provide an original receipt from the institution where documents are deposited, along with an undertaking to produce originals at admission.
  • Note: Failure to provide documents, willful concealment, or misrepresentation leads to disqualification or loss of candidature.

(c) Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGIGE)

  • Format: Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • Structure: 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), 2 marks each, total 80 marks.
  • Duration: 30 minutes.
  • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks deducted per incorrect answer.

(d) Psychological Assessment and Interview

  • Conducted by a Board of Officers at BHDC.
  • Questions cover core subjects (up to Std XII), General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and candidates’ interests/hobbies.
  • Weightage: Given for achievements in sports (various levels) and for dependents of Serving/Ex-Servicemen/Killed in Action Officers, JCOs, or ORs.

(e) Medical Examination

  • Conducted by a Special Medical Board (SMB) at BHDC to assess fitness for MNS duties.
  • Candidates declared UNFIT may appeal by depositing Rs 40/- via MRO and submitting an application within 24 hours of SMB for an Appeal Medical Board (AMB).
  • Candidates must remain present until the Medical Board concludes. Absence during SMB/AMB results in being declared UNFIT IN ABSENTIA.
  • No representations (written, telephonic, or email) are entertained post-examination.

4. Final Selection

  • Merit List: Based on combined scores of NEET (UG) 2025, ToGIGE, Psychological Assessment, and Interview, subject to medical fitness.
  • College Allotment: Based on merit-cum-choice and available seats.
  • Publication: Final merit list and allotment published on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  • Validity: Merit list is valid only for the 2025 academic year.

5. Admission and Service Commitment

  • Selected candidates must execute an Agreement/Bond to serve as MNS officers.
  • Benefits During Training:
    • Free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance, and monthly stipend (as per rules, subject to amendments).
  • Withdrawal Policy:
    • Candidates withdrawing after 7 days of admission (post 4 PM) must pay bond money proportional to training duration, as per the agreement signed at admission.

6. How to Apply

  • Portal: Register and apply at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in after NEET (UG) 2025 results are declared.
  • Steps:
    1. Register with name, mobile number, email ID, and other details.
    2. Upload scanned documents in the prescribed size and format:
      • NEET (UG) 2025 scorecard.
      • 10+2 mark sheet and certificate.
      • SC/ST certificate (if applicable).
      • NCC ‘C’ certificate (if applicable).
    3. Use the email ID as the user ID and set a password (note these for future use).
    4. Pay the application fee (Rs 200/- for non-SC/ST candidates) via the online payment gateway. SC/ST candidates must upload documentary proof to waive the fee.
    5. Verify and edit details using the EDIT menu before clicking SUBMIT.
    6. Upon payment, a bank reference number (DU number) is generated (except for SC/ST candidates).
    7. Note the provisional reference number sent to the registered email for future communication.
    8. Print the filled application and payment confirmation for reference.
