Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

  1. PGT:
    • Post-Graduation in the respective subject with a minimum of 50% marks.
    • B.Ed. with at least 50% marks.
  2. TGT:
    • Graduation in the subject applied for, with at least 50% marks.
    • B.Ed. or equivalent qualification.
    • Candidates with a postgraduate degree and 50% marks in the subject are also eligible.
  3. PRT:
    • Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a four-year B.El.Ed.
    • Candidates with B.Ed. must complete a six-month bridge course in elementary education within two years of appointment.
  4. TGT (Special Educator):
    • Graduation with B.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. (General) with a one-year diploma in Special Education.

Age Limit (as of 1 April 2025)

  • Fresh Candidates: Below 40 years.
  • Experienced Candidates: Below 57 years (with 5 years of experience in the last 10 years).

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

  1. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
  2. Teaching Skill Test: Assessment of teaching methodology and presentation skills.
  3. Computer Proficiency Test: Evaluation of basic computer knowledge.
  4. OST Qualification: Candidates with a valid Online Screening Test (OST) score of 50% or higher will be preferred. OST qualification is mandatory within two years of appointment.
